The Forager’s Fleece

Every hue has a tale

Hand-dyed yarn, rolags, and batts created in small batches, inspired by nature, memory, and quiet making.

The Forager’s Fleece is a small fiber studio rooted in nature, memory, and slow craft.

Each colorway begins as a moment, and is translated into wool through hand-dyeing and thoughtful blending.

From yarn to rolags and batts, every piece is created in small batches with an emphasis on texture, movement, and story. Small batch fiber for knitting, crochet, spinning, and slow craft.

Where to Find My Work

Discover the latest additions to our collection—handpicked pieces that bring new energy to your space. Each piece is released in small batches and made available through my Etsy shop.

Throughout the year, I also travel to a handful of fiber festivals, bringing these colors and textures into a shared, in-person space.

About

The Forager’s Fleece started as a way for me to slow down and work with my hands again.

I spent years in a fast-paced, technical environment where everything was driven by deadlines, outputs, and constant motion. Over time, I found myself drawn back to something quieter — working with wool, color, and texture in a more hands-on, tangible way.

That shift became the foundation for this studio.

Today, I create hand-dyed yarn, rolags, and batts in small batches, focusing on materials like merino, Leicester Longwool, Texel, and other thoughtfully chosen fibers. I work with both natural and professional dyes, depending on the color and the fiber, allowing for a wider range of expression while staying grounded in the process.

Some pieces are carefully planned, while others come from simple curiosity — testing a color, blending fibers, or following an idea to see where it leads. That balance between structure and exploration reflects my own path, moving between technical work and traditional craft.

The Forager’s Fleece is still growing, shaped by process, experimentation, and a steady return to the work of making.

The Forager’s Fleece is part of a growing community of small fiber studios working with natural materials and slow processes. If you’re looking for naturally dyed wool, small-batch yarns, or hand-blended fibers with an emphasis on texture and story, this is exactly the kind of work I aim to create.

From rolags and batts for spinning to finished yarns, each piece is made in small batches with a focus on color, material, and how it feels in your hands.

Most days, I’m working alongside my corgi, Oli, who keeps me company in the wool studio.
